A little catch-up...
On Jan. 17th baby and I had our first real prenatal appointment! Everything went perfectly and our honey bee measured to almost an inch long. We actually got to see the little guy move today for the first time! It was just a quick reflex when we were poking around with the doppler wand, but super cute!
On Jan. 23rd we visited the hospital for our first trimester screening and genetic counseling. Jarrod and I spent a good 30min. chatting with the genetic counselor about our family histories and general concerns. Very few concerns were raised and so far we know we are not at risk of cystic fibrosis and the ultrasound revealed normal spinal formation. We will find out further results next week... fingers crossed! A few hormone levels are slightly low so we will be referred for additional blood work. Our ultrasound today revealed clear views of our little bee's toes and fingers and even some thumb sucking action before we woke the little guy up. Check the photos link for ultrasound pics!
Next, we are awaiting our genetic testing results which should arrive in a couple weeks. Our next ultrasound is on Valentine's Day!
